Innovation Program Manager

Luminus is one of the key players in the Belgian energy sector working towards decarbonation and a CO2 free Belgian society. We are looking for a team-player to join the Luminus Innovation team, reporting directly to the Head of Innovation. 

As Innovation Program Manager your most important objective is to lead the delivery of innovation projects coming from the Luminus Innovation program, working closely with the rest of the organization.

You will develop the relationships with internal Luminus stakeholders in the different business units and with counterparts in the EDF Group and its subsidiaries. Your mission? Your Daily Job

• You contribute to the strategic vision on innovation by suggesting topics to prioritize by identifying key business domains where it creates the most impact. 
• You uncover opportunities for growth and collaboration, with a sharp eye on competitors, emerging technologies, customer needs and market trends.
• You leverage internal research and external insights to stay ahead of societal and consumer trends.
• You identify potential opportunities by analyzing and testing new technologies.
• You monitor the developments at EDF R&D and represent Luminus in order to bring relevant technologies and insights to the business units.
• You connect with the EDF DIPP team to monitor developments in innovation, trends, relevant start-ups, best practices in innovation, methodologies and tools.
• You represent Luminus at external innovation events, fairs and conferences and identify and bring their relevant content to internal stakeholders.
• You drive innovation across the company by leading inspiring initiatives like Innovation Week and Innovation Game, collaborating with Communication, HR and external partners.
• You spark creative thinking about future business models and bring engaging speakers and content to inspire teams year-round.
• You organize the participation of Luminus projects to the EDF Prix Pulse innovation contest.
• You make maximal use of internal communication platforms and internal events, to promote innovation within the company.
• You share success stories company-wide, proving the value of innovation for Luminus and you contribute to building the image of Luminus as an innovative company to the outside world.
• You lead projects from ideation to proof of concept, securing internal resources, managing external consultants and supporting project teams
• You leverage the innovation activities within the EDF Group to the benefit of Luminus: align regularly with EDF DIPP and other international divisions within the EDF Group, take part in joint projects when relevant for Luminus and exchange best practices.
• You manage the internal Switch Idea Box, ensuring a smooth flow of ideas and follow-through on promising initiatives.
• You align with internal stakeholders to understand their needs, gain buy-in and focus innovation efforts where they matter most.

Your profile

• You hold a degree in commercial, industrial or civil engineering, or have equivalent Master's studies.
• You have at least five years of relevant experience, ideally in an innovation role, with a proven track record.
• Knowledge of the energy sector is a plus.
• Your writing and communication skills in English and French or Dutch are excellent.
• You have strong interpersonal skills and can build relationships with stakeholders, both internal and external.
• You understand business development.
• You have a solid technical background to assess new and emerging technologies.
• Your listening and problem-solving skills are excellent.
• You excel in project management.
• You can conduct independent research and create proposals for C-level.
• Your presentation skills are top-notch, making material accessible for management decisions.
• You work autonomously and make informed decisions.
• You thrive under tight deadlines in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
