Offshore PPA Manager

Our Optimisation department is a young and dynamic team that embraces curiosity and innovation in a positive atmosphere. The department is responsible for managing our electricity and gas portfolio and maximizing the value of our assets in the market. 
The Portfolio Structuring team, as a center of expertise of the department, supports strategic investments, manages long-term energy contracts, and advocates for Luminus' interests in market design with stakeholders.

As Offshore Offtake Manager you oversee the offtake of the offshore project in the Princess Elisabeth Zone. You focus on negotiating and finalizing the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the project company, aligning with offshore tender rules and balancing risks and rewards.

Your Daily Job

• You assess and develop offtake strategies between Luminus and the project company for offshore projects, balancing risk and reward while aligning with Belgian Offshore wind tender rules.
• You ensure the strategy covers key elements like CfD contracts (Contracts for Difference), CPPAs carve-outs, and citizen participation.
• You keep the strategy up-to-date with market conditions, regulations, and project-specific needs.
• You create PPA models that align with offtake strategies and tender rules.
• You lead negotiations, drafting, and finalizing PPA contracts, ensuring compliance and commercial alignment.
• You integrate the PPA into the optimization framework, manage operations, and monitor performance.
• You analyze market risks and opportunities, offering insights to enhance financial outcomes.
• You stay informed about offshore wind developments in Belgium, including tender rules and regulations, assessing their impact on Luminus.
• You assist with renewable PPAs and CPPAs for solar and onshore wind assets, focusing on offshore projects.
• You use your market expertise to support strategic decisions in Luminus' renewable energy portfolio.

Your Profile
 

• You have a Master’s degree in Engineering, Commercial Sciences, Economics, or equivalent.
• You bring at least 3 years of experience in the energy sector.
• You have a strong interest in electricity and gas markets, including support mechanisms.
• You possess knowledge of Belgian offshore business (a plus).
• You are proficient in Excel.
• You are fluent in Dutch and English, French is a bonus.
• You articulate ideas clearly, delivering engaging presentations and written content.
• You evaluate complex concepts, analyze data and make informed decisions.
• You prioritize customer needs, building trust and offering tailored solutions.
• You take initiative, owning your tasks and working autonomously.
• You introduce fresh ideas and find creative solutions to challenges.
