Senior Electrical Power Engineer

Luminus is looking for an experienced professional with expertise in the field of HV electrical power system and turbomachinery generators. This expert will perform the engineering for new electrical connections and will take part to some power asset projects.

Your daily routine

• You engineer new electrical connections in power businesses, focusing on thermal, hydro, wind, and storage systems.
• Your project management duties vary depending on the assignment at hand.
• You support power asset owners by providing maintenance assistance, incident troubleshooting, and sharing best practices within your field of expertise.
• You report to the Projects Director, offering internal consultancy and project management with a solution-driven mindset.
• You follow up on international developments from ENTSO-e (European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity) and Synergrid (Federation of electricity and gas distribution grid operators in Belgium).
• You manage and coach a small team of electrical engineers who act as project managers in power asset projects.
• In your leadership role, you serve as a key expert in the development of HV power business, engaging in discussions with authorities, clients, and suppliers.
• You develop and share expertise on HV power systems within Luminus production. You collaborate with support departments such as Procurement, Optimization, Corporate Affairs, Legal, and Finance to elaborate business plans and strategic positioning.
• You actively participate in EDF group synergy within your field of expertise.

Your profile

• You hold a Master's degree in engineering, preferably in electrical engineering or electromechanical engineering. A PhD in HV power systems is an asset.
• You possess profound knowledge of HV power systems and turbomachinery generators.
• You have experience with wind turbines, PV plants, battery storage, or turbomachinery manufacturers, which is a strong asset.
• You have 10 years of experience with projects related to HV electrical connections and HV equipment engineering or maintenance.
• You have experience in project management of power asset development and construction.
• You are capable of using HV electrical design tools (Eplan or similar).
• You have practical knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
• You have excellent communication skills and the ability to relate to different counterparties, including internal resources, partners, the EDF group, and clients.
• You are proficient in Dutch or French and have professional proficiency in English (the engineering and procurement language).
• You possess a driving license B for project mobility.
