Investment and Contract Manager

As Wind Investment and Contract Manager you ensure a smooth investment process for our Wind projects and you manage the long-term commercial relationship with Luminus' wind strategic OEM and O&M suppliers, in collaboration with Purchasing and the EDF group.

This is to secure the availability of the best technologies and lower the LCOE of Luminus' renewable projects (supply chain strategy). You also lead CPPA, M&A and 3rd party financing processes from a technical and business perspective.

You Daily job

You collaborate with the project developer, support departments (Legal, Finance, Purchase, etc.) and external consultants to prepare investment files for the investment committee.

• You perform technical, administrative and legal due diligence for projects.
• You evaluate CAPEX and OPEX budgets.
• You ases the long-term production budget.
• You propose the best technology (turbine type) thet matches the project characteristics, permits and BP optimization.
• You establish Corporate PPAs. As long-term Corporate PPAs become more crucial for profitable renewable investments, you will collaborate with Luminus to set up CPPAs with a cross-functional team involving wind investment, contract management, optimization (LTP), and legal departments.
• You present investment files to wind management, investment committees, and other decision-makers, together with the Wind Business Director.

You are responsible for Merger and Acquisition activities:

• You screen the onshore wind market to identify acquisition opportunities.
• You coordinate due diligence to identify risks and revenues associated with these opportunities (wind studies, Power Purchase Agreements, contracts).
• You lead negotiations in close cooperation with finance, legal, and external consultants to develop a final investment and acquisition proposal for the investment committee.

You work with Finance to update the business plan template for the development team, incorporating the latest available technologies.

You handle, in cooperation with purchasing and legal teams, the tendering and negotiation of turbine supply agreements and long-term O&M agreements, considering potential synergies in the project portfolio and within the EDF Renewable group.

You manage the OEM and O&M supply chain strategy.

• You collaborate with Luminus and EDF RE group’s purchasing team to ensure access to the best technologies and supply chain contracts.
• You maintain long-term relationships with key OEMs.
• You monitor strategic OEMs (technologies, credit risk, sustainability).
• You ensure the development team has access to the best turbine technical specifications and recommend models for consideration during the permit application phase.

You are the technical referent for technical and project due diligence processes for third-party financing.

Your profile

• You have 5 to 10 years of experience in the wind industry, with a strong affinity for both development and asset management aspects.
• You possess experience in contract negotiation.
• You are innovation-minded.
• You have an affinity for economic and financial issues.
• You have a good knowledge of English, French, and Dutch (or at least a strong willingness to learn the additional languages).
